As an E-commerce Operations Intern at GLASS, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day operations of our government marketplace. Working closely with our team, you’ll assist in ensuring that orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in live sourcing items for customers, supporting buyers via live chat, and assisting vendors with operations as needed. Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of our government marketplace to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Assist in addressing inquiries from government buyers, facilitating transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Help coordinate with vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of purchase orders, including communicating order details and tracking progress.
- Monitor order statuses and shipment tracking, assisting in resolving delays or discrepancies as needed.
- Respond to customer service inquiries under supervision, providing support and solutions to maintain a positive experience.
- Engage in live sourcing to help customers locate items that are not immediately available on the platform.
- Provide real-time support to buyers via live chat, addressing questions and offering assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
- Assist with vendor operations as needed, including approving products, assisting vendors during onboarding, and ensuring compliance with marketplace standards.
- Communicate with vendors to support smooth order fulfillment and address basic issues.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and troubleshoot technical or process-related issues in the marketplace.
- Learn and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in e-commerce operations.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business administration, commerce, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or tools is a plus but not required—training will be provided.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in government procurement processes or marketplace operations is a bonus.
